Impulses for transformation in technology and organisation
This year’s V&S Winter School “New Mechanical Engineering” will take place from 24 to 26 March 2021. The annual event is all about the latest challenges and solutions in mechanical engineering, and in 2021 it will focus on the topic “Transformation in Technology and Organisation”. This year, the conference will also have a brand new format: virtual, more flexible and with a more individual touch. The online event will include presentations, interactive Q&A sessions, and new, innovative networking options such as speed dating. The conference will close on Friday with a virtual Open Space. For a small contribution, every participant is able to create their own customised event.
Use this opportunity to listen to the presentation by Dr Thorsten Krebs, Head of Consulting at encoway, on the following topic: “Aligning the product portfolio and customer journey with the customer benefit – the shift from “inside-out” to “outside-in” thinking”. In his talk on Wednesday, Dr Krebs will look at the challenge of how to transition from a technology-driven inside-out approach to the much needed market-oriented outside-in way of thinking for portfolio development and shaping customer processes. He will demonstrate how to achieve the transformation of thinking patterns with the help of the Golden Circle Method (by Simon Sinek).
Other impulses during the event will include presentations by Phoenix Contact, Google Germany and Harting.
Winter School Neuer Maschinenbau
The Winter School “New Mechanical Engineering” is an event that was launched by Vollmer & Scheffczyk GmbH (V&S) in 2014. Together with the Deutsche Messe Technology Academy, Fraunhofer IPA, Zukunftsallianz Maschinenbau e.V. and the Institute of Custom Manufacturers, companies, experts and other inspirational people are invited to share knowledge and best practices that are particularly useful in mechanical engineering. The participants will gain a 360-degree overview of topics such as: digitisation, innovation, Scrum, ReaLean, multi-project management, social energy, organisational development among top performers, and systems engineering.
